On the evening of July 20, the Chinese Embassy in Luxembourg hosted a "Summer at the Château" reception at the Embassy's premises, the Château de Dommeldange. Nearly 100 guests from various sectors attended the event, including Luxembourg's Minister of the Home Affairs Léon Gloden, former President of the Chamber of Deputies Laurent Mosar, President of the SYVICOL Emile Eicher, Member of the Chamber of Deputies Octavie Modert, President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce Fernand Ernster and the CEO Carlo Thelen, CEO of the Luxembourg for Tourism Sebastian Reddeker, President of the China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce Jacques Bortuzzo, as well as several local municipal officials.
In his address, Ambassador Hua Ning noted that in recent years, bilateral exchanges and cooperation between the two countries at all levels and across various sectors have been frequent and fruitful. He expressed gratitude to Luxembourgish friends from all walks of life for their dedication and efforts in promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Luxembourg. He stated that China is willing to take the opportunity of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year to intensify friendly exchanges, explore cooperation potential, and continuously enrich the connotation of the China-Luxembourg "Air Silk Road," so as to better benefit the peoples of both countries.
The China Cultural Center presented wonderful performances, including traditional song and dance. Luxembourgish guests experienced intangible cultural heritage activities on site, such as calligraphy, painting, and tea ceremony. They spoke highly of China's development achievements and expressed their willingness to further deepen Luxembourg-China friendly cooperation and promote shared development.
