Ambassador Hua Ning Promotes China’s 15th Five-Year Plan to Luxembourg’s Business Community

On March 18, Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg Hua Ning was invited to attend and address a seminar on the 15th Five-Year Plan organized by the China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. The event was attended by over 160 participants, including Chairman Jacques Bortuzzo of the Chamber, officials from Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Ministry of the Economy, Luxembourg for Finance, and the Luxinnovation, as well as representatives from the business and academic communities.

Ambassador Hua introduced China’s successful practices in promoting economic and social development through five-year plans, and elaborated on the main objectives, major tasks, and strategic measures of the 15th Five-Year Plan. He noted that the 15th Five-Year Plan will create new opportunities for China-Luxembourg and China-Europe cooperation. The two sides should leverage their respective strengths to promote industrial integration, joint innovation, and two-way empowerment, foster mutual reinforcement and shared success, and jointly contribute to the development of China, Luxembourg and Europe as well as to global economic recovery.

Participants noted that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China’s efforts to foster new business forms and new scenarios will create new space for cooperation between Europe and China. They expressed willingness to take advantage of Luxembourg’s strengths as a cross-border financial hub and deeply engage in China’s development.
