On the evening of January 28, Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg Hua Ning was invited to attend Deloitte (Luxembourg)’s Chinese New Year Reception. Deloitte (Luxembourg) CEO Psaila and nearly a hundred representatives from Chinese and Luxembourg enterprises and institutions participated in the event.

In his speech, Ambassador Hua Ning stated that over the past five years, China has overcome various difficulties and challenges, successfully completed the tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and achieved a historic milestone with its economic aggregate exceeding 140 trillion yuan. Foreign trade has also grown against the trend. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will focus on building a modern industrial system, advancing scientific and technological innovation, expanding high-level opening-up, and injecting more certainty and new impetus into the world through high-quality development. He expressed hope that enterprises like Deloitte in Luxembourg will seize the opportunities, leverage Luxembourg’s financial service advantages, facilitate cooperation between the two countries in emerging industries, promote two-way investment, and contribute to greater progress in China-Luxembourg economic and trade relations during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

Psaila and others introduced Deloitte’s financial services businesses, stating that Deloitte highly values the strategic deployment for China’s future development outlined in the proposals for China’s 15th Five-Year Plan. They cherish the long-standing partnership with Chinese enterprises and will fully leverage the new opportunities brought by China’s economic transformation and upgrading. Deloitte will continue to provide high-quality services to help Chinese enterprises better ‘go global’ and play an active role in deepening Luxembourg-China cooperation.
