Ambassador Hua stated that over the past year, under the care and guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Luxembourg relations have maintained healthy and stable development. President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Grand Duke Guillaume on his ascension to the throne, multiple delegations from the Luxembourg government, parliament, and local authorities visited China, and exchanges and cooperation between China and Luxembourg in various fields continued to deepen. The direct passenger flights between China and Luxembourg, along with China’s visa-free policy, have significantly facilitated bilateral exchanges, and the ‘Air Silk Road’ has continued to extend. The overseas Chinese community in Luxembourg has united and worked hard, making positive contributions to the development of China-Luxembourg relations.

Ambassador Hua pointed out that 2026 marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. China will focus on building a modern industrial system, promoting scientific and technological innovation, and expanding high-level opening-up. He expressed hope that people from all sectors in China and Luxembourg would charge ahead with vigor and unite their strength to build an even stronger China-Luxembourg relationship.

Attendees expressed that the Spring Festival greetings from their motherland and hometown filled them with warmth and inspiration.
