On the evening of December 8, Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg H.E. Hua Ning attended the New Year reception hosted by the China–Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. President Jacques Bortuzzo of the Chamber, First Counselor Wang Yuan of the Embassy, nearly one hundred Chamber members, and representatives of enterprises from both countries were present.

In his remarks, Ambassador Hua highlighted the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan. He noted that the plenary session set out strategic arrangements for China’s future development, underscored the central role of scientific and technological innovation in advancing Chinese modernization, and emphasized China’s commitment to promoting high-quality development through a higher level of opening up. Looking ahead, he stated that China’s market scale, industrial supporting capabilities, and innovation ecosystem will continue to generate strong growth momentum, creating broad development opportunities for countries including Luxembourg. He expressed the hope that Chinese and Luxembourgish enterprises will continue expanding two-way investment, strengthen cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, and achieve mutual benefit.

President Bortuzzo remarked that over the past year, economic and trade relations between China and Luxembourg have developed steadily, with more frequent exchanges and continued emergence of new outcomes. The Chamber will continue to provide member companies with effective communication channels and more targeted resources and support, promoting further tangible results in bilateral cooperation.
Representatives from participating enterprises noted that China maintains stable policies, strong industrial advantages, a vast market, and significantly enhanced innovation capacity, while Luxembourg holds unique strengths in finance, steel, logistics, and the green economy. They agreed that the two sides have enormous cooperation potential. Enterprises of both countries should leverage the opportunities brought by China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, continuously expand areas of cooperation, and jointly advance the high-quality development of China–Luxembourg economic and trade relations.
